Pay Rate: $21.00 – $22.00/hr
Role Overview
We are seeking motivated, detail-oriented Material Handlers and Receiving Clerks to support warehouse, logistics, and manufacturing operations across our client facilities in the Bay Area (including high-tech manufacturing and innovative medical device environments).
In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day warehouse operationsincluding receiving shipments, inspecting incoming goods against documentation, managing inventory storage and cycle counts, operating material handling equipment, and kitting parts to support production lines and cleanrooms.
Key Responsibilities
- Unload incoming freight, inspect delivered goods for damage, verify quantities against packing slips, purchase orders, and bills of lading, and route packages to designated personnel or departments.
- Accurately identify, sort, label, and locate raw materials, components, and finished goods in assigned warehouse locations; perform regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.
- Issue materials, pull parts from stock, and prepare accurate production/assembly kits; track backorders and report component shortages to supervisors and supply chain teams.
- Prepare, pack, label, and stage finished goods and customer orders in accordance with standard shipping guidelines.
- Safely operate forklifts (stand-up reach and/or sit-down models) and manual/electric pallet jacks to move and stage materials throughout the facility.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality standards (including cleanroom gowning/supply management or ESD/MSL component handling where applicable).
- Maintain accurate inventory records using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP software, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Perform local material transfers or pick-ups between main facilities and off-site warehouse locations as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 2–5 years of material handling, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory control experience (manufacturing, tech, or medical device environments preferred).
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts (stand-up reach, sit-down) and pallet jacks; active forklift certification is a strong plus.
- Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record (for roles requiring off-site warehouse transfers).
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in computer systems, including MS Office (Word, Excel) and inventory management/ERP/WMS platforms.
- Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to perform basic shop arithmetic and read work instructions, diagrams, and schedules.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
- Capacity to regularly lift, carry, and maneuver materials weighing up to 30–50 lbs.
- Good hand dexterity and attention to detail for handling sensitive parts and scanning barcodes.
