We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to support loan servicing operations for a banking organization in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This Contract position is ideal for someone who works accurately, manages deadlines well, and is comfortable handling high-volume administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment. The person in this role will help maintain loan records, process servicing documentation, and contribute to efficient post-closing activities while working closely with internal teams. 100% onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Enter newly originated mortgage loan information into servicing systems and verify that all data is complete and accurate.

• Support the administration of residential construction loans by updating records, tracking documentation, and maintaining organized files.

• Examine home equity documentation packages and record relevant information promptly to ensure timely processing.

• Coordinate the Guarantee Asset Protection waiver refund workflow, including data review, processing support, and status tracking.

• Respond to document-related legal requests such as subpoenas by locating, compiling, and preparing the required records.

• Scan, categorize, and upload loan and servicing documents into the designated record retention platform for easy retrieval.

• Maintain strong productivity and accuracy levels while meeting established service, quality, and turnaround expectations.

• Provide cross-functional assistance on additional loan servicing tasks and special assignments as directed by leadership.

• At least 2 years of experience in data entry, administrative support, or a related operational role.
• Previous experience working in a financial institution or banking environment is preferred.
• Strong keyboarding and typing skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with employees and members.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, follow procedures closely, and meet deadlines consistently.
• Demonstrated reliability, adaptability, and a team-oriented approach to daily work.
