Plant Operations Manager - Plastic Injection Molding

Responsibilities

• Lead facility operations while maintaining 5S principles, workplace safety, organization, and ISO standards

• Manage new program launches, partnering with Engineering to implement cost-effective tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes that support profitability

• Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency by identifying cost-reduction opportunities, improving throughput, and optimizing product profitability

• Conduct capacity planning and resource optimization across equipment, suppliers, and labor while monitoring machine utilization and maintaining appropriate labor-to-sales levels

• Oversee Quality, production scheduling, BOM and labor constraints, ERP utilization, and cross-functional coordination to support efficient operations and on-time delivery

• Lead and develop employees through coaching, motivation, and recognition, fostering a culture of accountability, employee participation, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on plastic injection molding experience and strong knowledge of injection molding processes

• 5–7 years of management experience, with demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams to meet and exceed operational goals

• Experienced in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), quality programs, and manufacturing quality initiatives, with a focus on maintaining a team-oriented work environment

• Demonstrated experience implementing continuous improvement, Lean, and other process-improvement methodologies to enhance manufacturing performance

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and cross-functional communication skills

Salary: $125K - $135K
