Accounts Payable Clerk
Full-Time • Non-Exempt
Mavrik Marine is looking for a detailoriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our accounting team. This position plays an important role in managing vendor invoices, ensuring accurate documentation, resolving billing discrepancies, and supporting our overall purchasing and payment process. You’ll work closely with Accounting, Purchasing, and Production to help keep everything running smoothly.
About the Role
Each day, you’ll collect invoices that arrive through email or mail, match them with purchase orders and receiving documents, and verify that everything is accurate and complete. When something doesn’t line up, you’ll work with our Purchasing Department or directly with vendors to get answers and resolve issues quickly.
Once documentation is verified, you’ll enter invoices into QuickBooks, scan and file all supporting paperwork, and maintain organized vendor files. Each week, you’ll review the Accounts Payable Aging Report to prepare check approvals and ensure payments are processed on time. You’ll also support the Accounting Manager and Human Resource Manager with additional tasks and contribute to ongoing company goals as assigned.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone with at least two years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar accounting role. A high school diploma is required, and an associate degree in accounting is preferred. Because this role relies heavily on documentation and accuracy, strong attention to detail is essential.
You should be comfortable using QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Excelincluding pivot tables and long data sets. Clear communication skills, strong organization, the ability to work both independently and within a team, and sound problemsolving abilities are key. Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism is a must. This is a customer facing position, so a positive attitude and comfortability answering phones and working with clients is a must.
Schedule & Benefits
This role follows a Monday–Thursday schedule from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
