In this role, you’ll work directly with advanced PLCs, vision systems, and roboticsdiagnosing, optimizing, and building long-term control solutions that keep high-tech production lines running smoothly and efficiently.
What You’ll Bring
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, automation, or electrical controls.
Technical Skills:
Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, blueprints, and engineering assembly drawings.
Experience designing and installing PLC ladder logic, VFDs, and servo systems.
Familiarity with industrial vision systems.
Basic component machining skills and standard shop measurement tool proficiency.
General Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) along with a strong work ethic and proactive problem-solving mindset.
Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Technology, Automation, Mechatronics, or Industrial Maintenance.
Experience programming and operating Universal Robots (UR) and collaborative robotics.
Familiarity with Cognex or Keyence vision platforms.
Hands-on experience with Siemens Sinumerik 840D & NC programming.
Familiarity with DC torque-fastening systems.
Background working in a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) environment.
Responsibilities
Drive System Reliability: Identify, troubleshoot, and eliminate control-system deficiencies that cause downtime or performance losses.
Optimize PLC & Motion Controls: Develop, modify, and fine-tune PLC- and PC-based programs, variable-frequency drives (VFDs), and servo control systems.
Engineer Lasting Solutions: Implement long-term hardware, software, and electrical upgrades to boost safety, throughput, and equipment life.
Support Smart Automation: Integrate and troubleshoot advanced vision systems, DC torque-fastening systems, and robotics.
Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with cross-functional engineering, maintenance, and production staff to solve technical challenges and train team members on control applications.
Champion Workplace Safety: Maintain and promote a strong safety culture through adherence to procedures and proactive continuous improvement.
