Electrical Systems Engineer | Medical Robotics

12-Month+ Contract | 1st Shift | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Our client, a global leader in the medical device industry, is seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer to support the development of advanced medical robotic technology.

The Systems Engineer will provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary engineering teams and contribute throughout the product lifecycle, from concept development through market release and sustaining engineering. This role focuses on stakeholder needs, requirements development, system architecture, integration, verification, and technical problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide systems engineering leadership for products involving multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Support all phases of the product lifecycle, from concept through market release and sustaining.
  • Understand stakeholder needs and clinical use cases and translate them into system concepts and requirements.
  • Develop and decompose system requirements to ensure designs meet user needs.
  • Develop and maintain system architecture and requirements traceability.
  • Apply systems engineering techniques including modeling, simulation, trade studies, architecture, traceability, and system budgeting.
  • Lead system integration activities across electrical, mechanical, software, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Support or lead system verification activities.
  • Identify and resolve complex technical issues throughout product development.
  • Balance competing priorities while driving projects toward key development milestones.
  • Communicate technical information effectively across engineering and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience with systems engineering, system architecture, and requirements management.
  • Experience with system integration, modeling, simulation, trade studies, traceability, and architecture frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to support products from concept through market release.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with medical device development and clinical stakeholder needs preferred.
  • Medical robotics, robotics, electromechanical systems, or other complex product development experience preferred.
