Location: Marion, IL

Duration: 9+ weeks

Schedule: Monday–Friday Work Environment: Outpatient Healthcare Setting

Shift Schedule
  • Monday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

  • Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

  • Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

  • Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and patient-focused Medical Assistant to support both front- and back-office operations in a clinical healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will assist with patient care, administrative duties, and clinical procedures while maintaining effective communication and collaboration with patients and healthcare staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet, room, and prepare patients for provider visits.

  • Schedule appointments and assist with patient communications.

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls.

  • Record patient vital signs and medical information accurately.

  • Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures.

  • Administer vaccines and provide additional clinical support as needed.

  • Perform EKG testing and Point-of-Care (POC) testing.

  • Maintain accurate patient documentation in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.

  • Support front- and back-office operations.

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure efficient clinic workflows.

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow established clinic policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, in addition to externship experience.

  • Experience with phlebotomy and venipuncture required.

  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) required.

  • Front- and back-office experience required.

  • Experience with EKG testing and Point-of-Care (POC) testing required.

  • Experience with appointment scheduling, patient rooming, and vital sign collection required.

  • Strong computer and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred.

  • Occupational Health experience strongly preferred.

  • Current BLS or CPR certification required.
