A California-based, full-service restaurant group seeks a Kitchen Manager for a high-volume location in Livermore. The organization operates multiple units and emphasizes consistent execution, cost discipline, and strong kitchen leadership. This role is operationally focused and requires a manager who can run a busy kitchen to standard every shift.

The Position

The Kitchen Manager is responsible for daily kitchen operations, including food quality, staffing, inventory, sanitation, and cost control. The position is hands-on and suited to a leader who performs well in a high-volume, full-service environment and can maintain systems under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all kitchen operations during high-volume service
• Hire, train, schedule, and supervise culinary staff
• Maintain consistent food quality, ticket times, and presentation standards
• Manage food, labor, and inventory costs within budget
• Enforce food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance
• Control ordering, receiving, storage, and waste
• Partner with front-of-house and unit leadership to support service flow
• Coach team members to improve performance, retention, and readiness for advancement

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of kitchen leadership experience in full-service restaurants
• Proven success in high-volume operations
• Strong knowledge of food safety, kitchen systems, and cost controls
• Ability to lead, schedule, and retain a kitchen team
• Clear communication and calm decision-making during peak periods
• Culinary degree preferred; equivalent experience accepted
