CNC Machinist / CNC Operator Day & Swing Shifts

Location: Reno, NV
Pay: $22–$40 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday

FLAG Solutions is hiring CNC Machinists and CNC Operators for a confidential manufacturing client in Reno, NV. We’re seeking experienced machinists and developing operators who want to grow their skills in precision manufacturing.

Available Shifts

  • Day shift: 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
  • Swing shift: 3:30 p.m.–midnight.
  • Voluntary overtime may be available based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC mills, lathes, or Swiss machines based on experience and department assignment.
  • Load and unload parts, bar stock, and materials.
  • Follow blueprints, work instructions, and established machining procedures.
  • Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Monitor dimensions, surface finishes, and part quality.
  • Make tool offsets and adjustments within your skill level and training.
  • Report machining issues and out-of-tolerance conditions promptly.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Experienced machinists will perform setups after becoming familiar with assigned equipment and processes.

Qualifications

  • CNC machining or machine operation experience preferred.
  • Entry-level candidates with mechanical aptitude and a strong interest in learning machining will also be considered.
  • For experienced positions, ability to perform setups, adjust offsets, interpret blueprints, and use precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Willingness to learn established procedures, ask questions, and collaborate with the team.

Preferred Experience

  • CNC milling, turning, Swiss machining, or multi-axis machining.
  • Mitsubishi or Fanuc controls.
  • Machining aluminum, stainless steel, or specialty plastics.
  • Producing precision components with detailed features and demanding surface-finish requirements.
  • Approximately 5–10 years of relevant machining experience for advanced openings; less experience is welcome for operator opportunities.
