Job Title: Journeyman Plumber
Company: Filtrex Service Group, Inc.
Pay: $30–$32 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:
The Journeyman Plumber is employed by Filtrex Service Group, Inc. to perform plumbing installations for the Pavati Water Program. This role is responsible for preparing installation sites, installing approved systems and related piping, verifying proper operation, and completing accurate job documentation. Work must meet company standards, customer requirements, manufacturer instructions, and applicable project requirements.


Primary Responsibilities



Installation Preparation


Review work orders, approved drawings, installation instructions, and project scope before beginning work.Assess existing plumbing, water connections, equipment locations, access, and site conditions. Report conflicts or conditions that may affect the installation.Confirm required equipment, parts, tools, and materials are available. Coordinate site access and planned water interruptions with the supervisor and customer.

Pavati System Installation


Install Pavati water systems and related plumbing components according to approved plans, manufacturer instructions, and company procedures.Measure, cut, fit, assemble, and connect piping, fittings, valves, supports, and other components included in the approved scope.Complete assigned connections to existing plumbing while protecting customer equipment, property, and ongoing operations.Obtain supervisor approval before changing the installation layout, substituting materials, or performing work outside the approved scope.

Testing Startup and Troubleshooting


Perform required installation checks and startup procedures, verify connections and system operation, and address leaks or deficiencies before closeout.Troubleshoot installation issues and complete authorized corrections within the employee’s qualifications and assigned scope.Record test results and unresolved items. Escalate conditions that prevent safe or proper operation and coordinate follow-up with the supervisor.


Safety Licensing and Workmanship


Maintain required journeyman plumbing credentials and perform work only within the licensing and authorization requirements applicable to the project location. Follow applicable plumbing codes, manufacturer requirements, company safety procedures, and customer site rules. Coordinate required permits and inspections with management. Use required protective equipment and safe work practices. Stop unsafe work and promptly report hazards, injuries, property damage, or installation concerns. Inspect workmanship throughout the installation, protect the water system from contamination, and leave the work area clean and orderly.

Documentation and Customer Communication


Complete work orders, installation checklists, before-and-after photographs, equipment information, and completion notes within established deadlines.Accurately record labor, materials used, additional approved work, and open items so administrative teams can close and bill the project.Provide timely status updates to the supervisor and communicate professionally with customers about access, interruptions, progress, and completion.Explain approved basic operating information to the customer and obtain required completion acknowledgment. Refer unresolved questions or concerns to the supervisor.

Tools Materials and Team Support


Maintain assigned tools, equipment, and company vehicles. Track materials, prevent unnecessary waste, and return unused items as directed.Work with Pavati leadership, Filtrex operations, and assigned technicians to complete installations efficiently and resolve field issues.Participate in required training and guide assigned helpers or apprentices within authorized supervision limits.
