Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / Programmer to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for machining large structural steel fabrications, including setup, programming, operation, and routine maintenance on 5-axis CNC mills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform setups, changeovers, and run complex parts on 5-axis CNC milling machines.
- Read and interpret engineering prints, GD&T, and complex technical drawings.
- Work with tight tolerances on large steel weldments and fabrications.
- Perform basic mechanical assembly and fitting as needed.
- Troubleshoot G-code, tooling issues, and machining parameters independently.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Machinists Background:3–5+ years of hands-on experience setting up, operating, and programming 5-axis CNC mills.
- Technical Credentials:Journeyman Machinist certification, trade apprenticeship completion, or Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology (or equivalent hands-on trade experience).
- Blueprint & Tooling Literacy:Demonstrated ability to work with tight tolerances, GD&T, complex weldments, and heavy steel fabrications.
- Physical Fitness:Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, manoeuvre around heavy machinery, and handle large steel setups safely.
- Work Authorization:Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
