Job Title: Warehouse Associate

Job Description

This role supports warehouse operations by accurately picking, packing, and processing customer orders in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. You will handle and safeguard sensitive materials, ensure all items are properly scanned and barcoded, and contribute to the smooth flow of daily warehouse activities while maintaining strong communication with coworkers and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Pick and stock customer boxes and items accurately and efficiently according to work orders.
  • Scan and barcode incoming boxes and items to ensure accurate tracking and inventory control.
  • Process work orders from start to finish, ensuring all required steps are completed correctly and on time.
  • Handle rush deliveries by prioritizing and processing urgent orders with speed and accuracy.
  • Safeguard sensitive and confidential information while handling customer materials and documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in the warehouse.
  • Collaborate with coworkers as needed to complete large or complex orders.
  • Follow all warehouse procedures and safety guidelines while performing heavy physical work throughout the day.
  • Use a PC at a basic level to access, review, and update order and inventory information.
  • Prepare to transition into a driver role over time if interested, learning related processes and responsibilities.

Essential Skills

  • Experience working in a warehouse or similar environment with order pulling, order picking, and general labor responsibilities.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and sustain heavy physical work throughout the workday in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to handle and safeguard sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Ability to speak and communicate well in English with customers and coworkers.
  • Basic reading and writing skills.
  • Basic understanding of using a PC for work-related tasks.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a deadline-intensive environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience with picking, packing, and order processing in a warehouse environment.
  • Interest in eventually transitioning into a driver position.
  • Strong attention to detail when scanning, barcoding, and processing orders.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.18 - $19.18/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
