Position Summary

The SaaS Sales Manager is responsible for leading and growing our client's Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) sales efforts, with a primary focus on the Digital Sustainment Platform (DSP) and related digital solutions. This position develops and executes sales strategies to drive new customer acquisition, expand existing customer relationships, and achieve revenue and growth objectives, leading the sales process from prospecting and qualification through demonstrations, proposal preparation, negotiation, and close. The role develops relationships with government, defense, aerospace, and manufacturing customers, and works closely with Product, Engineering, Program Management, Marketing, and Customer Success to position DSP and support its continued growth.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute SaaS sales strategies designed to achieve revenue, pipeline, customer acquisition, and DSP growth objectives.
  • Lead the sales and business development efforts for the Digital Sustainment Platform (DSP), including identifying, qualifying, developing, and closing new opportunities.
  • Present and demonstrate DSP to prospective customers, government stakeholders, technical teams, and executive leadership.
  • Translate customer requirements and operational challenges into DSP solutions and communicate the platform's value proposition.
  • Identify opportunities to expand DSP adoption across existing customers, programs, and mission areas.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with DoD, USMC, federal government, defense, aerospace, and manufacturing stakeholders.
  • Lead the full sales lifecycle: prospecting, qualification, discovery, solution development, presentations, proposals, negotiations, and close.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, partnerships, and industry events.
  • Conduct customer discovery to understand business challenges and position DSP and other SaaS solutions to address customer needs.
  • Develop customer-specific DSP presentations, demonstrations, proposals, and capability briefings.
  • Maintain accurate and timely sales activity, pipeline, forecasting, and customer information within the CRM system.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer requirements to inform DSP sales strategy.
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to communicate customer feedback, product requirements, and market opportunities.
  • Establish and monitor key sales performance metrics, including pipeline generation, conversion rates, bookings, and account expansion.
  • Represent the company and DSP at conferences, trade shows, customer meetings, and government/defense engagements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience, with demonstrated success in SaaS, software, technology, or technical solutions.
  • 2+ years of sales management or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success developing new business and consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models, subscription-based software, and recurring revenue.
  • Experience with CRM platforms and sales pipeline management.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and business value to both technical and executive audiences.
