Location: Indianapolis, IN 46227

Duration: 8-week contract assignment

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Work Schedule
  • Monday: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM

  • Tuesday: 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM

  • Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

  • Friday: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM

  • Unpaid lunch break: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant will support both front-office and back-office operations, including greeting and rooming patients, scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, taking vital signs, performing blood draws, administering vaccines, and providing additional clinical support as needed.

The ideal candidate will maintain a collaborative relationship with center staff, demonstrate strong communication skills, and contribute to a patient-focused environment that emphasizes health education and outreach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and assist with patient intake and rooming.

  • Schedule appointments and answer incoming phone calls.

  • Measure and record patients' vital signs.

  • Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures.

  • Conduct EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing.

  • Administer vaccines and provide clinical support as needed.

  • Assist with front-office and back-office operations.

  • Maintain accurate patient records using the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

  • Collaborate with clinical staff to support efficient daily operations.

  • Contribute to health education and outreach initiatives.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, excluding externship experience.

  • Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required.

  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience required.

  • Strong computer skills and attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a patient-focused environment.
