Racemark is seeking a hands-on Process & Product Development Engineer to develop and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, automation, tooling, plant layouts, and production methods.

If you enjoy being on the manufacturing floor, solving problems, improving equipment and processes, and seeing your projects move from concept into production, we want to hear from you.

Automotive experience is preferred, but not required. Engineers with strong experience in manufacturing, factory automation, equipment integration, process improvement, or high-volume production are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes and production methods.

  • Identify opportunities for factory automation and error-proofing.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and manufacturing-process problems.
  • Improve manufacturing cells, layouts, workflow, and material flow.
  • Reduce cycle time, scrap, downtime, and manufacturing waste.
  • Support equipment installation, commissioning, and production launches.
  • Support new-product and new-process introductions.
  • Apply Lean and continuous-improvement principles.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and support corrective actions.
  • Work closely with production, maintenance, quality, engineering, suppliers, and management.

  • Support PFMEA, Control Plans, APQP, PPAP, and IATF 16949 requirements as applicable.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Automation, or related engineering field preferred.
  • Other technical education combined with significant relevant manufacturing engineering experience may be considered.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes, equipment, automation, tooling, layouts, or continuous improvement.
  • Strong mechanical and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work directly on the manufacturing floor.

  • Factory automation
  • Robotics or PLC-controlled equipment
  • Sensors and vision systems
  • Equipment, machine, tooling, or fixture design
  • CAD
  • Lean manufacturing, 5S, or Kaizen
  • Root-cause analysis

Why Join Racemark?

This is an opportunity for an engineer who wants to do more than maintain existing processes. You'll have the opportunity to identify problems, develop solutions, implement improvements, and see the impact of your work directly on the production floor.

You will work across manufacturing engineering, automation, equipment, continuous improvement, product implementation, and production support, giving you broad exposure and significant ownership.

If your background doesn't match every preferred qualification but you have strong manufacturing engineering experience, we encourage you to apply.
