CNC Machine Operator

Ace Wire Spring & Form Co. is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to set up and run automated spring manufacturing equipment, including our Herdon CNC spring coiler. We make custom parts, so this is a hands-on setup and troubleshooting role. You will change jobs, adjust the machine, inspect parts, and solve problems when a setup is not producing to specification.

You do not need to have operated a Herdon machine. We are interested in candidates with strong mechanical skills and experience setting up CNC, wire forming, or other automated manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate CNC spring coiling equipment for custom jobs.
• Select and install tooling, produce trial parts, and make adjustments to meet specifications.
• Read manufacturing drawings and inspect parts using precision measuring tools.
• Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and forming problems.
• Record setup information for future runs and maintain a safe, organized work area.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience setting up and troubleshooting CNC or comparable automated manufacturing machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to make adjustments independently.
• Ability to read drawings and use calipers, micrometers, or similar measuring tools.
• A dependable work history.

Spring coiling, wire forming, and Herdon machine experience are valuable, but we will consider candidates with transferable setup experience.
