Job Title: Collections Specialist (514)

PAY $23 per hour

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Duration: Full-time

Job Description

We are seeking a Specialist, Collections to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in collections, customer communication, and negotiation and a proven ability to recover losses on assigned delinquent accounts while complying with Federal Regulations and client standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of assigned delinquent accounts.
  • Initiate contact with debtors via phone, email, and written correspondence to discuss outstanding debts and negotiate payment arrangements.
  • Document all collection activities, communications, and payment arrangements in accordance with client standards and Federal Regulations.
  • Provide customer service, respond to inquiries, and address concerns with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Utilize skip tracing techniques and tools to locate debtors with outdated or unavailable contact information.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills with respectful, professional communication.
  • Effective verbal and written communication, active listening, and empathy.
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations and resolve conflicts while maintaining composure.
  • Detail orientation with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Reliability and ability to work flexible day, evening, and weekend hours as required.
  • Basic computing skills.
  • Ability to obtain the required license for collecting upon placement.

Preferred Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in business or related fields.
  • 0–1 years of experience in collections or related customer service roles, preferably in a financial or credit environment.
  • Proficiency with collections software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with debt collection laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.

Role Details:

  • Headcount: 10 openings.
  • Start Date: 11/9/2026.
  • Interview Dates: 10/7, 10/8, 10/13, 10/14.
  • Hours/Week: 40. Hybrid schedule with two days per week in office.
  • Shifts after training: 8–5, 10–7, 12–9. Management will assign shifts based on business need.
