Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience operating asphalt screeds
- Strong knowledge of screed setup, adjustments, and operation
- Ability to read and interpret project plans accurately
- Commitment to job site safety and adherence to highway paving protocols
Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust, and operate asphalt screeds to achieve proper grade, slope, and mat thickness
- Monitor asphalt flow, temperature, and material distribution
- Coordinate with paver, roller, and lute operators
- Identify and correct surface irregularities
- Perform routine equipment inspections and minor troubleshooting
