Beloit Health System is looking to add a Per Diem Front Desk Receptionist to our Team!

Shift: 1st & 2nd

Schedule: Hours between 6a - 8p (shifts up to 8 hours/day)

Hours per week: Varied - Per Diem

Benefits Status: Not Eligible

Department: Community Relations

Beloit Memorial Hospital is seeking a professional, compassionate, and customer-focused Front Desk Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, The ideal candidate will create a welcoming environment while providing exceptional customer service, efficiently managing front desk operations. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a positive patient experience by greeting guests, answering inquiries and directing visitors.

  • Greet patients, visitors, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Answer and route incoming telephone calls promptly and appropriately.
  • Direct visitors to patient rooms, departments, and hospital services.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Manage visitor sign-in procedures and issue visitor badges as needed.
  • Coordinate communication between patients, clinical staff, and other hospital departments.
  • Handle patient inquiries and resolve routine concerns professionally.
  • Maintain organized reception and waiting areas.
  • Perform general administrative duties including filing, scanning, data entry, and record maintenance.
  • Assist with departmental projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Manages escorts to ensure patient deliveries are completed in a timely fashion
  • Completes extra projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year of customer service, receptionist, administrative, or healthcare office experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic computer systems.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and patient satisfaction.
  • Maintain ethical conduct and keep confidential personal and medical information about patients.
  • Must be very flexible in working hours and able to work holidays when needed.
  • Able to work different shifts:
    • Weekdays 7am - 8pm (2 shifts)
    • Weekends 8am - 8pm (2 shifts)
  • Reporting Relationship: Lead Receptionist, Executive Director of Foundation/Marketing/Community Relations
