Field Operations Lead
Pink Zebra Moving of Katy
Full-time | $22 to $24/hr + performance bonuses
We're looking for a leader who makes crews better. You'll run the field side of our business: moving between jobs, working alongside our movers, training new hires, and making sure every home we touch gets the Pink Zebra standard. You don't need moving experience. You need to know how to lead people, and you need to be hungry to learn the trade fast.
If you've been a foreman, a crew lead, a shift supervisor, a coach, or a squad leader, and people did better work because you were there, we want to talk to you.
What you'll do
- Lead our crews in the field. Set the tone on every job, hold the standard, and step in when a job is going sideways.
- Float between jobs during the day. Start one crew strong, check in on another, jump onto a truck when a job needs extra hands.
- Work hands-on. Pack, wrap, carry, and load alongside the team. You lead from the front, not from the truck cab.
- Train new hires. Teach our methods for padding, loading, protecting homes, and treating customers right, then sign off when they're ready.
- Develop crew leads. Spot the movers with potential and coach them into drivers and leads.
- Inspect quality. Run job-site checks, catch damage risks before they happen, and fix habits on the spot.
- Protect safety. Enforce lifting technique, truck loading, and equipment standards so nobody gets hurt.
- Own the customer moment on site. Handle concerns calmly and escalate what needs escalating to the office.
- Report back. Give the operations team a clear daily picture of how crews performed, who's growing, and where we're slipping.
What we're looking for
- Proven leadership of a hands-on team, 2+ years (construction, trades, warehouse, restaurant, military, athletics, or similar)
- People follow you. You can correct someone and keep their respect, and you'd rather build people up than do everything yourself.
- A fast learner who takes pride in doing things the right way
- Physically able to lift 75+ lbs repeatedly and work full days on your feet in Texas heat
- Reliable transportation to move between job sites across the west side of Houston
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record; ability to drive a 26-foot box truck (no CDL required), or willingness to learn
- Available early mornings and some Saturdays
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus
