Rock Steady Atlanta is seeking an experienced, polished, and highly organized Host to join our Front of House team.
Our hosts are more than the first face guests see when they walk through the doorthey help control the flow and energy of the entire restaurant. We are looking for hospitality professionals who know how to confidently manage a busy door, reservations, table rotations, guest expectations, and communication with the service team while maintaining a warm and welcoming presence.
As a Host, you will:
- Warmly welcome and acknowledge every guest
- Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists
- Maintain an accurate understanding of the restaurant floor at all times
- Follow seating rotations while considering reservations, table availability, server capacity, and guest needs
- Communicate with management and servers regarding seating and pacing
- Answer incoming calls professionally and accurately
- Confirm reservations and communicate restaurant policies when necessary
- Assist with large parties, VIP guests, celebrations, and special requests
- Monitor table progress and anticipate upcoming availability
- Keep the host stand and entrance organized and guest-ready
- Help create a smooth transition from the moment a guest arrives until they are seated
What We're Looking For in The ideal candidate:
- Has at least 2 years of restaurant hosting experience, preferably in a high-volume, upscale, fine-dining, or nightlife-driven environment
- Has experience using a restaurant reservation/guest management system
- Understands floor charts, table numbers, sections, seating rotations, pacing, and table turns
- Can accurately manage reservations, walk-ins, waitlists, large parties, and special guest requests
- Is comfortable communicating realistic wait times and professionally handling guests when delays occur
- Can maintain control of the host stand during high-volume service without becoming visibly overwhelmed
- Communicates clearly and professionally with servers, bartenders, managers, security, and other members of the FOH team
- Has excellent phone etiquette and attention to detail
- Presents themselves professionally and understands the importance of appearance, body language, and tone
- Is dependable, punctual, coachable, and team-oriented
- Is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENT: Candidates must have consistent availability at least 3 days during the week AND Sundays. Friday/Saturday-only availability will not meet the scheduling needs of this position.
