At Pacur, our Extrusion Machine Operators oversee one or more sheet lines ensuring all safety, quality, output, documentation, and cleaning standards are met or exceeded.

Shift: Extrusion Machine Operators work a rotating 12-hour shift. 7:00AM to 7:00PM and 7:00PM to 7:00AM. The 28-day rotation results in approximately 14 work shifts per month.

What you will do:

  • Start up and shut down sheet lines as directed by supervisor or lead

  • Oversee the operation of one or more sheet lines safely and efficiently. You are responsible for safety, quality, output and documentation.

  • Complete job changeovers with minimal scrap and downtime

  • Safely complete indexing at the end of a roll

  • Complete all required data entry in the Plex computer system

  • Complete all required equipment logs

  • Maintain good sheet output through the use of quality standards, scanning equipment, visual checks, end of roll sampling and maintaining silicone quality

  • Ensure dryer loading, color auger feed, and mixing station operations

  • Maintain all silicone requirements including bath changes

What are the education and skill requirements?

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and execute written instructions in job packets
  • One or more years of experience as a production machine operator or setup technician
  • Ability to troubleshoot and make machine adjustments as needed to maintain quality output
  • Willingness and ability to work with team mates on other extrusion lines

What are the physical requirements?

  • Must be able to regularly lift 50 pounds
  • Stand and walk to monitor the extrusion line throughout the shift
  • Climb ladders and stairs to access the 2nd level of the extrusion lines
