Kitchen Manager, Bakery Caf, Bilingual Spanish Required

We are hiring a bilingual Spanish-English Kitchen Manager for a bakery caf in Springfield, VA. This hands-on leader will oversee back-of-house operations from the early morning bake through close, including production, prep, food safety, ordering, inventory, team training, and scheduling. The role offers $45,000 to $60,000 per year plus a year-end bonus, with a path to General Manager as the location grows.

Responsibilities

• Run back-of-house operations from the early morning bake through close.
• Own the daily production plan to keep cases full during peak periods while minimizing waste.
• Control food costs, ordering, receiving, and inventory.
• Hire, train, and schedule the kitchen and production team.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards on every shift.
• Partner with the General Manager on labor targets and daily sales goals.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and consistent.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience leading a kitchen, bakery, or food production team.
• Hands-on experience with food cost and inventory control.
• ServSafe certification, or willingness to certify within 30 days.
• Comfort with early morning starts.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays as business needs require.
• Fluency in Spanish and English; ability to lead a bilingual team every day.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bakery, pastry, or scratch production experience.
• Experience opening a new store or managing a remodel.
