Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)

Shift: Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience
Sign-On Bonus: $5,000–$8,000, payable after 90 days of satisfactory performance
Full-time schedule typically consists of 3–4-night shifts per week, Some schedule flexibility may be available. Combination of clinical and research nights. No weekend on-call expectation outside of scheduled shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, calibrate, acquire, and monitor diagnostic PSG, CPAP, BiPAP, ASV, and AVAPS titration studies.
- Perform pediatric sleep studies in accordance with AASM standards.
- Acquire MSLT and MWT studies and manage daytime nap protocols according to AASM requirements.
- Accurately execute sponsored clinical-trial protocols, including source documentation and required safety checks.
- Score sleep studies using Compumedics Profusion in accordance with applicable AASM and CMS scoring rules.
- Participate in AASM accreditation activities, quality assurance reviews, and laboratory policy updates.
- Provide compassionate, professional patient care throughout the overnight study.
Required Qualifications:
- Current BRPT-issued RPSGT credential in good standing.
- Minimum 2 years of independent PSG acquisition experience.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Experience with Compumedics Profusion preferred; candidates without experience must be willing to complete cross-training within 30 days.
- Excellent patientcare, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with industry-sponsored sleep research protocols.
- GCP and IATA training.
- Pediatric PSG experience.
- Experience mentoring or training junior sleep technologists.
- Familiarity with athenaOne EMR.
- Experience with clinical research and sponsored sleep trials.
