Job Summary
Seeking a Junior Associate to handle Immigration Law matters, with potential exposure to International Corporate Law. The role provides hands-on courtroom, USCIS, client, and case-management experience under experienced attorney mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
Represent clients in Immigration Court and USCIS interviews.
Draft motions, briefs, legal memoranda, applications, and other filings.
Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
Conduct client consultations and prepare clients/witnesses for hearings.
Manage an active caseload and meet deadlines.
Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
Communicate with clients, courts, and government agencies.
Maintain accurate case files and ensure confidentiality and compliance.
Requirements
0–3 years of legal experience.
Bilingual English/Spanish.
Admission to the Texas Bar or another U.S. state bar.
Strong legal research, writing, drafting, and analytical skills.
Excellent organization, communication, and time-management abilities.
Proficiency with office software and legal research tools.
Ability to work collaboratively and follow direction from supervising attorneys.
Strong commitment to ethics, confidentiality, and professional development.
Preferred
Immigration Law experience.
Immigration Court or USCIS experience.
International Corporate Law exposure.
Familiarity with legal case-management systems.
