About the Role: Modular Equipment LLC is looking for a skilled Vessel Fitter to join our team in Houston, TX. This is a hands-on opportunity to work on exciting fabrication projects in a fast-paced, industrial environment where your craftsmanship truly matters. Responsibilities:- Fit, assemble, and weld (tack) pressure vessel cylinders, tanks, and related structural components per engineering drawings and specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings to ensure accurate assembly
- Perform layout and fit-up of shells, heads, nozzles, flanges, and structural attachments
- Use hand tools, grinders, and measuring instruments to prepare and align components
- Collaborate with welders, pipefitters, and other fabrication team members to meet project deadlines
- Inspect completed assemblies for dimensional accuracy and compliance with ASME or applicable codes
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with shop safety standards
Requirements:- Proven experience as a Vessel Fitter in an industrial fabrication environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols
- Familiarity with ASME pressure vessel codes and fabrication standards is a plus
- Proficiency with layout tools, measuring instruments, and hand/power tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced shop environment
- Must be able to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding conditions
