Job Summary
The Desktop Computer Support Coordinator is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to employees for hardware, software, network, and technology-related issues. This role is a primary point of contact for end-user support, ensuring timely resolution of technical problems and maintaining a high level of customer service. The position supports desktop computing environments, mobile devices, printers, and general business applications.
What you'll do:
- Provide first-line technical support to employees in person, by phone, email, and ticketing systems.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and peripheral device issues.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or external vendors when necessary.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
- Deploy operating system updates, software patches, and application upgrades.
- Provision and decommission computer equipment
- Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts.
- Assist with password resets, access requests, and security permissions.
- Support Microsoft 365 apps, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint.
- Ensure compliance with company security policies and procedures.
- Document procedures, technical solutions, and support activities.
- Maintain and contribute to IT knowledge base.
- Provide basic technology training and guidance to end users.
What you'll bring:
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in desktop support, help desk, or technical support roles.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications.
- Experience supporting desktop hardware, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and wireless networking.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Customer-focused attitude with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications, preferred.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and endpoint management tools, preferred.
- Familiarity with Azure AD (Microsoft Entra ID) and Intune, preferred.
