Utility Bill Audit and Optimization Lead

TEOCO'sAuditteamisseekingasmart,self-motivated,andcollaborativecandidate.Thisisagreatopportunitytogainorbuilduponexperienceinconsulting,developingafoundationofutilityinvoiceknowledgeandlearningsoftwaretools.

Candidatewillleadasmallteamofindividualsthatwouldcompletethefollowing:

• Auditingandoptimizationofrates(contracts/tariffs)inderegulatedandregulatedmarkets;detailedanalysisofusagesensitivecharges(electric,gas)topinpointincorrectratesoropportunitiestodecreasecostinthefuture

• Identifyincorrectcombinationsofchargesbilledbasedonclientprofile;leverageinventoryandsourcesystemstoidentifyopportunitiesfordataqualityimprovement,

• Disputesofchargesinaccuratelybilled,and/ordisconnectionofservicesnolongerinuse-thismayinvolveworkwithfieldrepresentativesoftheclient.

• Evaluatethestatusofchargesassociatedwithsitesin"temporary"status.

• Investigateanyflat-ratedchargesassociatedwithlandlordsites andlookforconsolidationopportunitieswhereclientshavemorethanonebusinessentityatthesamesite;andevaluatetheapplicationoftaxesandsurchargestoclientaccounts.

• Identifiedissueswillbeloggedintoadatabaseofrecordforvendoractionand/orclientactionandapproval.

• Teamwillberesponsibleforensuringapprovedissuesareworkedtoclosure,anyassociatedbenefittotheclientiscaptured,and,ifapplicable,amountsinvoicedtoclient.

• Leadwillbeexpectedtoworkwithinternalprogrammingandsystemteamstoautomateprocessesasmuchaspossible

• Bachelor'sDegree,preferablyinFinance,Accounting,Economics,MathorStatistics.

• Solidunderstandingofutilitycostsstructuresandregulations(electric,gas,water).

• Excellentwrittenandverbalcommunicationskills.

• Solidorganizationalskills

• SuperiorsoftwarePCskillsinMSOfficeSuite

Desirable:

• 5+yearsofexperienceworkinginutilityauditandoptimizationenvironment.

• PriorexposuretoAlteryx,Python,and/orR.

• Priorexperiencewithsoftwarequeryingtools.

Salary Range: $80,000–$100,000 annually, with starting compensation determined based on experience, skills, education, geographic location, and alignment with our overall compensation structure.
