Light Industrial – Manufacturing Support Specialist (Material Handler / Field Environmental)
Location: Loudon, TN (Onsite)
Position Type: Contract (12 Months)
Schedule Options:

  • Shift Option A (Material Handling): 12-Hour Rotating Shift (6 to 6, alternating Day/Night shifts, including every other weekend).
  • Shift Option B (Environmental Coordination): Standard 40 Hours/Week (Monday to Friday, Day Shift).

We are seeking adaptable and dependable team members to join our manufacturing facility in Loudon, TN. This combined listing covers core plant operations acrossMaterial Handling andField Environmental Coordination.
Whether you bring hands-on mobile equipment experience or strong administrative skills with an interest in environmental compliance, this role offers a structured pathway to support critical daily operations, safety, and compliance programs.
Key ResponsibilitiesOption 1: Material Handler Focus

  • Equipment Operation: Operate Box/Bale Clamp Lift Trucks, Pole Trucks, and overhead cranes to transport, load, and unload paper rolls, inbound/outbound materials, and manufacturing supplies.
  • Logistics & Freight: Load and unload delivery trucks efficiently and safely.
  • Plant Maintenance: Assist operating teams with daily housekeeping and staging area organization.
  • Physical Tasks: Safely lift, push, or pull materials over 50 lbs as required.

Option 2: Field Environmental Coordinator Focus

  • Compliance & Inspections: Conduct routine indoor and outdoor environmental field inspections, monitoring stormwater, waste management, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Waste & Inventory Logistics: Coordinate universal and hazardous waste pickups. Prepare, drain, paint/label empty containers, and load trailers using a forklift.
  • Data & Records Management: Maintain environmental compliance documentation, enter tracking data, and update compliance databases using Microsoft Office/Teams.
  • Regulatory Support: Track corrective actions, coordinate compliance tasks, and communicate requirements to relevant stakeholders.

QualificationsRequired (All Roles):

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment (both indoor and outdoor conditions).
  • Must provide and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), includingsteel-toed safety shoes.
  • Strong safety mindset, attention to detail, and ability to follow site standard operating procedures.

Role-Specific Requirements:

  • For Material Handling Focus:
  • Willingness/ability to work a12-hour rotating shift schedule (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM / 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM), including weekends.
  • Physical capability to lift, push, or pull objects weighing over 50 lbs.
  • For Environmental Coordination Focus:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Strong verbal and written communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to learn and safely operate forklift trucks (training provided).
  • Ability to obtainRCRA andDOT certifications (company-sponsored training provided).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience operating forklifts, mobile equipment, or overhead cranes.
  • Background in environmental compliance, EHS, industrial waste management, or administrative record-keeping in a plant setting.

Pay Rates

  • Material Handler Role: $16.00 – $16.50 / hr
  • Field Environmental Coordinator Role: $17.93 – $21.42 / hr
