This is more than managing a flagship store. It is an opportunity to help build Rock & Roll Denim's first-ever retail location from the ground up and shape everything from opening readiness and merchandising to the team and customer experience.
You will also help establish the blueprint for future locations, with the potential to grow into broader retail leadership as our footprint expands.
Flagship Store Manager – Your Job Duties
You will own the Flagship Store from pre-opening buildout through launch and ongoing operations.
- Support the Flagship Store buildout and lead retail opening readiness
- Recruit, hire, train, schedule, coach and develop your Flagship Store team
- Lead daily store operations and create a high energy, service focused sales environment
- Own Flagship Store performance across sales, conversion, average order value, units per transaction, payroll, inventory accuracy and other retail KPIs
- Be on the sales floor connecting with customers, coaching employees and understanding firsthand what drives sales
- Own visual merchandising, seasonal floor sets, product launches, denim presentation and daily store standards
- Manage scheduling, payroll, inventory, shipment processing, cycle counts, loss prevention and operational compliance
- Run the store based on where the opportunity is. Use data to recommend staffing and operating-hour adjustments based on traffic and performance
- Build a repeat customer base and strong presence within the Fort Worth Stockyards community
- Identify local partnerships, events and opportunities that increase Flagship Store visibility, traffic and sales
- Analyze store performance and customer behavior, then turn what you learn into changes in staffing, merchandising, events and operations
- Establish operating processes, expectations and best practices that can become the retail playbook for future locations
- Provide leadership with firsthand feedback about customers, products and opportunities for retail growth
Anticipate approximately 50% of your time on the sales floor leading the customer and team experience and 50% managing hiring, scheduling, reporting and store operations.
Flagship Store Manager – You Have Prior Experience With:
- Prior experience managing a retail store
- Experience managing pre opening details including store setup, merchandising, staffing, training and operational readiness
- Experience recruiting, hiring, scheduling, training and managing retail employees
- Strong knowledge of retail operations and KPIs including sales, conversion, AOV, UPT, payroll and inventory
- Experience using store performance data to make decisions about staffing, scheduling and sales opportunities
- Strong visual merchandising experience including apparel presentation, floor sets and seasonal product launches
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays and special events
You might have:
- Prior apparel, denim, western lifestyle or premium retail experience
- Shopify experience
- Bilingual Spanish and English communication skills
- Prior experience opening a new retail store, flagship location, major remodel or serving in a significant leadership role on a new store opening
Flagship Store Manager – Benefits for You
Your base salary will be $75,000 to $90,000, depending on your experience, plus an incentive bonus tied to store performance, giving you the opportunity to directly benefit from the success you help create. Before the Flagship Store opens, you will work from the Fort Worth headquarters while managing the buildout, planning the opening and preparing your team and store for launch. Once open, your primary home will be the Flagship Store in the Fort Worth Stockyards.
