Benefits:Job Summary We are seeking to hire a
general/excavator/laborer to operate equipment and worksite operations through manual labor, following architectural plans and guidance to ensure the job is properly completed. The ideal candidate has previous construction experience, a hard worker with the ability to meet the physical demands of the job. Will also be required to work in manufacturing area at times.
Responsibilities- Operate a variety of machinery, such as excavator, auger, backhoe, bobcat plus any power tools or other industrial equipment as per job specifications
- Responsible for all company equipment in/on company vehicles
- Work closely with all employees on the job site and help as needed to keep the project running on schedule
- Follow all necessary safety standards
- Strong attention to detail
- Prepare and install rebar or reinforcing wire, anchor bolts etc. and welding when necessary
- Pour and finish concrete in forms according to specifications
- Handle County Inspections at jobsite, if required
- Wear hard hat, steel-toed boots, gloves and any other PPE required
- Calculate amount of concrete to be ordered per job site, if required
Qualifications- Pass pre-employment and random drug testing (Zero tolerance, drug-free workplace)
- Must have valid driver's license, CDL helpful
- Previous experience working in a construction environment desired
- Strong communication skills with sales staff on projects
- The ability to work well within a team environment
- The ability to work in all weather conditions
- Must be dependable, punctual and willing to work overtime and possibly out of town
Monday – Friday normal business hours 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with possible starting time 7:00 am Bi-weekly payroll with direct deposit only.
