Pay: $22/hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Job Summary:
The Bookkeeper will manage the church’s financial records and day-to-day bookkeeping activities. This position will handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll, and maintaining accurate financial information. The ideal candidate will be trustworthy, organized, detail-oriented, and committed to supporting the mission and values of the church.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial and bookkeeping records.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Process payroll and maintain payroll records.
- Reconcile bank and financial accounts.
- Track income, expenses, deposits, and payments.
- Prepare basic financial reports for church leadership.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information.
- Work with pastors, staff, and church associates as needed.
- Assist with budgets and other financial administrative duties.
Requirements:
- Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer and accounting software skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Strong communication and time-management skills.
- Must be a committed person who supports the church’s faith, mission, and values.
- Ability to work respectfully with pastors, staff, volunteers, and church members.
