Our client is looking to hire a team of Data Center Fiber Technicians in the Texas area! This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing division at the ground level while building a long-term career with one of the nation's leading communications and infrastructure contractors. The initial assignment will support the IREN Childress Data Center, a 750 MW AI-optimized hyperscale facility designed to support large-scale artificial intelligence and high-performance computing workloads. This project represents one of the most significant data center developments in the country and offers exposure to cutting-edge infrastructure supporting next-generation technologies.

**pay shown is only base with no OT included but you will have 32 hrs of OT each week paid at x1.5**

Responsibilities:

· Install, route, and secure fiber optic cabling throughout the data center environment

· Perform fiber termination, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting

· Conduct OTDR, power meter, and continuity testing

· Document cable routes, test results, and as-built project information

· Support rack-and-stack activities, including equipment installation and integration

· Install and dress structured cabling systems in accordance with project standards

· Read and interpret construction drawings, cable schedules, and network diagrams

· Identify and resolve fiber and connectivity issues during deployment

· Maintain quality, safety, and productivity standards on active construction sites

· Collaborate with project leadership and other trades to ensure successful project delivery

Required Qualifications:

· Experience in fiber optic installation, termination, testing, and troubleshooting

· Background in structured cabling, telecommunications, low-voltage systems, or data center infrastructure

· Experience installing, routing, and documenting fiber optic systems

· Ability to work extended schedules, including overtime and weekends

· Ability to travel and work on future project assignments nationwide

· Strong understanding of construction site safety practices

Preferred Qualifications:

· Previous hyperscale or enterprise data center experience

· Experience supporting large-scale data center construction projects

· Fiber splicing experience

· OTDR and fiber testing experience

· Rack-and-stack or network equipment installation experience

· Manufacturer certifications or industry certifications related to fiber optics or cabling
