Job Description
CDR General Services is seeking an experienced and skilled Class A Fitter to join an industrial marine team in Hahnville, LA. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as a Class A Fitter, with a strong background in barge repair or marine fabrication. Candidates must be able to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings and perform skilled fitting work in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform skilled fitting and fabrication work in a marine/industrial environment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work specifications.
  • Measure, align, fit, and assemble metal components according to specifications.
  • Perform fitting work related to barge repair and marine fabrication.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
  • Ensure completed work meets quality and safety standards.
  • Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with other members of the fabrication team.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Class A Fitter required.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in barge repair or marine fabrication required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of fitting, fabrication, alignment, and metal assembly.
  • Proficiency using hand tools and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work safely in an industrial/marine environment.
