Seeking a CAD Drafter to support a global energy technology client, specifically with their Generator & Electrical or Steam Turbine teams in Schenectady, NY. This role will focus on creating and modifying 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and Bills of Materials for large-scale power generation equipment. You'll work closely with engineers, designers, and manufacturing teams to support the design and lifecycle management of turbine and generator components.

What We Are Looking For
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical preferred) is ideal
- OR a drafting/CAD-related technical degree/certificate
- Exposure to CAD software (NX, SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, AutoCAD, etc.)
- Interest in drafting, design, and engineering-related work long term
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) is a plus, but can be trained
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work closely with engineers and designers
- Candidates interested in growing their career within a large engineering organization
Key Responsibilities:
- CAD Drafter supporting either the Generator & Electrical team or the Steam Turbine team
- Works from designs and specifications provided by Mechanical and Electrical Engineers
- Acts as the link between engineering, drafting, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are accurate and producible
- Creating and modifying 3D CAD models and engineering drawings
- Updating turbine and generator parts as designs evolve through their lifecycle
- Maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation
- Applying GD&T principles and company drafting standards
- Reviewing engineering change requests and incorporating updates into designs
- Collaborating with engineers, designers, manufacturing teams, and global stakeholders
