About the Role: Bee Busy Wellness Center in Houston, TX is looking for a motivated and experienced Lead Medical Assistant to join our growing healthcare team. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role where you'll make a real difference in patient care while helping guide and support a dedicated clinical staff.
Responsibilities:- Lead and mentor a team of medical assistants, providing guidance, training, and daily oversight
- Assist providers with clinical procedures, examinations, and patient care activities
- Manage patient flow, rooming patients, recording vital signs, and updating medical histories
- Administer injections, perform phlebotomy, and conduct basic diagnostic tests as directed
- Oversee scheduling, supply inventory, and clinical area organization to ensure smooth daily operations
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic-specific policies and procedures
- Serve as a point of contact between clinical staff and providers to optimize patient experience
Requirements:- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) credential required
- Minimum 2–3 years of medical assistant experience, preferably in a primary care or wellness setting
- Prior supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in EHR/EMR systems and clinical documentation
- Strong phlebotomy, vital signs, and clinical procedure skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Compassionate, patient-focused demeanor with a team-first attitude
