HG Doctors is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Medical Practice Manager – Operations & Growth to lead the day-to-day operations of our Delray Beach medical center, Delray Medical & Dental.

This is not a traditional medical office manager position.

We are looking for a strong, business-minded healthcare leader who can effectively manage people, improve operational performance, hold employees accountable, create an exceptional patient experience, and actively identify opportunities to increase patient volume and drive incremental revenue.

The ideal candidate is someone who takes ownership. You should be comfortable making decisions, solving problems, managing employees, analyzing performance, and implementing initiatives without requiring constant direction from senior leadership.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Leadership & Staff Management

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Delray Beach medical center.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, coach, and develop employees.
  • Manage employee performance, including counseling, corrective action, and termination when necessary.
  • Establish clear expectations and hold employees accountable for performance.
  • Develop a positive, professional, high-performance workplace culture.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and provide ongoing training and development.
  • Identify staffing needs and ensure appropriate staffing levels based on patient volume.
  • Develop future supervisors and team leaders within the organization.

Medical Practice Operations

  • Ensure the center operates efficiently and provides an outstanding patient experience.
  • Oversee front-office and clinical-support operations.
  • Monitor patient scheduling, registration, check-in/check-out, referrals, authorizations, and other critical workflows.
  • Work closely with physicians, providers, and staff to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Monitor provider schedules and identify opportunities to improve utilization.
  • Reduce appointment gaps, cancellations, and no-shows.
  • Identify operational problems and implement solutions.
  • Establish and monitor policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Ensure the center maintains appropriate regulatory, compliance, safety, and quality standards.

Growth & Business Development

A major responsibility of this position is helping HG Doctors grow.

The Practice Manager will be expected to actively identify and execute opportunities to generate new incremental revenue for the center.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop strategies to increase new-patient volume.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue from existing patients and services.
  • Build relationships with community organizations, physicians, senior communities, businesses, insurance representatives, and other potential referral sources.
  • Participate in local marketing and community outreach initiatives.
  • Evaluate marketing programs based on measurable results and return on investment.
  • Identify underutilized services and develop strategies to increase utilization.
  • Look for new services, programs, partnerships, and revenue opportunities that could benefit the practice.
  • Monitor competitors and healthcare trends in the Delray Beach market.
  • Develop and execute center-level growth initiatives.
  • Track the results of business-development and marketing activities.

Financial & Performance Management

The Practice Manager will be expected to understand the business side of healthcare operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitor center revenue, patient volume, expenses, staffing costs, and operational performance.
  • Review key performance indicators and identify areas requiring improvement.
  • Monitor provider productivity and schedule utilization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Control unnecessary overtime and staffing expenses.
  • Develop action plans when performance falls below expectations.
  • Provide senior leadership with regular updates regarding center performance, challenges, and growth opportunities.

The successful candidate should be confident leading employees, making decisions, addressing difficult situations, and taking responsibility for results.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of healthcare, medical practice, dental practice, urgent care, multi-specialty, or comparable healthcare management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing employees and day-to-day operations.
  • Experience hiring, training, coaching, disciplining, and developing employees.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Business-development, marketing, or practice-growth experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to understand operational and financial performance metrics.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer and practice-management-system skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent leadership experience will be considered.
