Job Description
The Laboratory Technician Gas Analysis works in one of several analytical laboratories performing routine and non-routine analysis of medical and specialty gases to detect impurities and verify product quality. This hands-on role involves operating advanced analytical instrumentation, handling gas cylinders, and using laboratory software while consistently adhering to strict quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. Work Environment
The role is based in a very clean, organized chemistry laboratory that focuses on the analysis and preparation of medical and specialty gases. Employees work with advanced analytical equipment such as gas chromatography systems (GC/GCP-type), Galaxy/Compass GC control software, FTIR spectrometers, CO analyzers, Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), and gas handling systems housed in ventilated cabinets. The position involves regular handling of extremely hazardous and toxic chemicals, and strict adherence to safety protocols, personal protective equipment requirements, and regulatory standards is expected at all times. The work schedule follows a DuPont rotating pattern that provides 24/7 operational coverage, with structured rotations between day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays. The schedule is published well in advance and offers longer stretches of time off compared to a traditional MondayFriday workweek. The environment supports growth and development, with the potential for conversion to a permanent role based on performance, and includes benefits such as eight paid holidays and vacation/PTO, with consultants receiving 40 hours of PTO for every six months of tenure.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
