We are looking for a Legal Secretary to join a respected law firm in Michigan. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced and organized individual who enjoys supporting attorneys in a fast-paced, client-centered practice. The role offers a strong foundation for someone who can manage legal administrative work accurately, communicate effectively, and maintain high standards of confidentiality.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare, revise, and submit legal filings through Michigan court e-filing platforms and applicable federal systems with close attention to accuracy and timing.
• Create and review correspondence, pleadings, and other routine legal documents to ensure formatting, grammar, and content meet high standards.
• Oversee attorney schedules by coordinating hearings, meetings, and deadlines while keeping calendars current and well organized.
• Maintain both paper and digital case records so documents are easy to access, complete, and up to date.
• Arrange service of process and monitor critical response dates and filing requirements in accordance with Michigan court procedures.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel regarding scheduling and case-related communications.
• Organize depositions, mediations, court appearances, and conferences, including logistics and supporting documentation.
• Manage incoming and outgoing legal mail, notices, and court correspondence while ensuring timely distribution and follow-up.
• Assemble exhibits, hearing materials, binders, and other case support documents for depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Enter and update case information in legal management software and provide broader administrative support to attorneys as needed.• At least 2 years of experience in a law firm or other legal support environment.
• Working knowledge of court filing procedures, including electronic filing in state or federal systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a detail-oriented approach to client and legal correspondence.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality.
• Experience with calendar coordination, court deadline tracking, and legal document management.
• Familiarity with dictation tools or related administrative support processes is preferred.
