Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday
Typical Hours: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (flexible; other schedules may be available)
Work Setting: 100% Onsite
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable Quality Control Inspector to perform incoming material inspections and support quality operations in a regulated manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail, personal accountability, and a commitment to quality. Training can be provided to the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming materials and received goods for quality and compliance.
- Complete inspection records, receiving files, and non-conforming material reports.
- Check and unload incoming shipments.
- Count, weigh, and measure materials against invoices, purchase orders, and shipping documents.
- Identify damaged, defective, or non-conforming materials.
- Route materials to appropriate departments.
- Maintain an organized receiving/inspection area.
- Work with other departments to resolve quality discrepancies.
- Perform sampling, testing procedures, and basic statistical analysis.
- Use basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges.
- Enter quality data and prepare reports using computer systems.
- Provide quality support for ongoing projects.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1+ year of mechanical inspection experience in an FDA- or ISO-regulated environment preferred.
- Previous quality/inspection experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of inspection and sampling techniques.
- Familiarity with ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 preferred.
- Basic knowledge of FDA QSR and/or ISO 9000/ISO 13485 preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
- Basic MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to read operational procedures and specifications.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for more than 4 hours per day.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
