Responsibilities
- Operate computed tomography (CT) equipment and produce cross-sectional images for radiologist interpretation.
- Perform CT procedures and may perform general radiography and fluoroscopy as needed.
- Use PACS and teleradiology to transfer images to the appropriate location.
- Maintain accurate records, files, and billing information; adhere to HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment and manage supply inventory.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for patients ranging from adolescence through geriatric; support multimodality imaging in CT, X-ray, and OR as needed.
Requirements
- Active California RT license and ARRT certification (R.T. (R)(CT) or R.T. (R)(ARRT))
- CT advanced certification preferred in CA
- Fluoroscopy license in CA if operating fluoroscopy
- Venipuncture certification if administering contrast
- Minimum two years of recent radiology/CT experience
- BLS certification; EPIC experience preferred
