Quality Assurance Inspector
Location: Largo, FL
Pay: $20/hr + $2 shift differential
Hours: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector to support our manufacturing team by inspecting medical components and plastic products throughout the production process. This position will perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure products meet established quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Previous quality inspection or manufacturing experience preferred
Experience with medical products, plastic products, or a regulated manufacturing environment is a plus
Ability to use basic measurement and inspection equipment
Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, specifications, and procedures
Basic computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects
Good documentation and organizational skills
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. safely
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Ability to work overtime as needed
Responsibilities
Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of medical components and plastic products
Inspect products for defects, dimensions, appearance, functionality, and overall quality
Use measurement tools and inspection equipment to verify products meet specifications
Compare finished products to drawings, specifications, samples, and established acceptance criteria
Operate inspection equipment such as optical vision systems, pull force testers, IR scanners, moisture analyzers, and other equipment as required
Verify materials, labels, paperwork, and production records for accuracy
Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality documentation
Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and established quality procedures
Identify, document, and communicate quality issues to the Production and Quality teams
Follow procedures for identifying, segregating, and documenting nonconforming or defective products
Verify that gauges and inspection equipment are properly calibrated before use
Use computer and ERP systems to access work instructions, documents, and production information
Help ensure production processes follow established quality standards and procedures
Follow applicable ISO, FDA, and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements
Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean and organized work area
Perform other duties as assigned
