Process Engineer

Description

Advanced Thermal Batteries (ATB) is seeking a Process Engineer to join their engineering team and support the manufacturing of thermal battery products used in highly regulated industries. This is a backfill position for a departing engineer, and the workload is currently being absorbed by other team members, creating an immediate need for additional support.This individual will join a team of four Process Engineers, each responsible for a specific manufacturing area. The focus for this role is supporting the core battery assembly process, which involves a high level of manual assembly and production support. The engineer will work closely with Operations, Mechanical Engineering, Battery Design Engineering, and Maintenance to improve manufacturing processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure new products can be successfully transitioned into production.The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, and enjoys spending significant time on the manufacturing floor solving problems and improving processes.

Experience with PLC or similar equipment programming Proficient in Microsoft Office CAD modelling a plusQUALIFICATIONS Education: B.S. in Engineering in a field related to the Process being supported,typically Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering Experience: 3-5 years in engineering or manufacturing environment. Six Sigma Certification and practical use a plus

This is a Permanent position based out of Westminster, MD.

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $95000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
