Job Title – Warehouse Worker
Location:Portage, MI 49002
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract
Duration: 12 Months
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week
Job Responsibilities
- Complete daily warehouse tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Use computer systems to pack customer orders and receive materials.
- Pick products from storage areas, verify order accuracy, and pack products for shipment.
- Process shipments efficiently as part of a team to ensure customer orders are completed and shipped the same day.
- Assist team members with general warehouse activities during slower periods.
- Perform housekeeping and 5S activities, including sweeping, cleaning, and organizing warehouse areas.
- Restock picking and overflow locations.
- Complete cycle counts and inventory-related activities.
- Sort products for receiving.
- Follow warehouse safety, quality, and productivity procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Previous warehouse operations experience preferred.
- Forklift operator certification/license preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with rapidly changing priorities.
- Ability to work cooperatively with customers and team members.
- Positive attitude and ability to build good working relationships.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Ability to read computerized packing lists and accurately track/calculate shipments.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and move between workstations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
