Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Program Administrator to lead our adult day program. As a Program Administrator, you will be responsible for directing the daily operations of the program, supervising staff, and ensuring that clients receive exceptional care and support. Responsibilities:
Direct the daily operation of the adult day program, including client scheduling, activities, service planning, documentation, and hands-on client support as needed
Recruit, train, supervise, coach, and evaluate staff and coordinate volunteers
Build strong relationships with clients and families; communicate changes in client needs and assist with concerns, resources, and referrals
Develop and implement program policies, procedures, activities, and service plans in accordance with organizational, state, Medicaid, CACFP, funding, health, safety, Civil Rights, and accreditation requirements
Oversee CACFP responsibilities, including eligibility, meal requirements, reimbursement, records, staff training, and required monitoring
Manage program finances, purchasing, billing, grants, reimbursements, and reporting while operating within the approved budget
Maintain accurate client and program records and prepare for audits, quality assurance reviews, recertification, and accreditation requirements
Promote the program through community outreach, presentations, partnerships, marketing, and client recruitment
Provide community education and support regarding caregiver respite, Alzheimer's, and Dementia
Coordinate intergenerational activities with the on-site children's program
Complete required social evaluations related to guardianship and participate in hearings when applicable
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
At least two years of post-secondary education OR a high school diploma/equivalent plus five years of related education, training, and experience working with older adults or adults with disabilities
At least two years of supervisory and administrative experience
Ability to complete required state training and certification as a Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional (QDDP)
Strong leadership, organization, communication, and decision-making skills
Knowledge of aging, disabilities, adult day services, and the needs of older and disabled adults
Ability to supervise and motivate staff and develop meaningful activities and services
Ability to build effective relationships with clients, families, employees, community partners, and governmental agencies
Strong written, verbal, and public communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accurate records and meeting regulatory requirements
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to perform the physical and cognitive requirements of a hands-on adult day program, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and assisting clients with daily needs. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally is required. Must be able to communicate effectively, operate a computer, and complete required documentation.
