Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM | 4x10 Hours | 40 Hours/Week

Pay Rate: $1,500 – $1,921/week (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) with recent OR experience in both scrubbing and circulating responsibilities across multiple surgical specialties.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible to practice in Ohio.

  • Minimum 12 months of recent Operating Room/OR experience.

  • At least 12 months of permanent OR experience before transitioning to travel nursing.

  • Demonstrated experience with both scrubbing and circulating.

  • Experience with robotic, general, GYN, and GU procedures.

  • Current AHA BLS certification.

  • Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical safety, and perioperative nursing practices.

  • Ability to perform accurate surgical counts and specimen handling.

  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team.

  • Flexibility to participate in night and weekend call.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and efficient nursing care throughout the perioperative process.

  • Scrub and circulate surgical cases according to department standards.

  • Assist with General, GYN, GU, and robotic surgical procedures.

  • Prepare operating rooms, equipment, instruments, and supplies for scheduled procedures.

  • Perform and maintain accurate surgical counts, including instruments, sponges, and sharps.

  • Properly handle, label, and document surgical specimens.

  • Monitor patients and maintain a safe environment throughout surgical procedures.

  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technicians, nurses, and other members of the surgical team.

  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and ensure necessary equipment and supplies are available.

  • Maintain sterile technique and follow infection-prevention protocols.

  • Complete accurate perioperative documentation.

  • Participate in emergency and urgent surgical procedures as needed.

  • Provide night and weekend call coverage according to department requirements.

  • Promote effective communication and teamwork within the operating room.
