Job Summary
We are seeking a Technical Sales & Design Representative to support technical sales, product design, engineering coordination, and customer requirements in a manufacturing environment. This position serves as a key link between customers, Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and Operations to ensure technical requirements are clearly understood, accurately documented, and successfully executed.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in technical sales, engineering support, manufacturing design, or a related technical role, along with strong analytical, communication, organizational, and customer-service skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to customers and internal teams regarding product design, configuration, specifications, and application requirements.
- Review customer requirements and assist with developing appropriate technical solutions and product recommendations.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Sales, and Operations to resolve technical questions and support project execution.
- Maintain accurate technical databases, master part files, specifications, and related product documentation.
- Prepare and communicate technical information, design details, product requirements, and supporting documentation.
- Conduct research and troubleshooting to resolve product, design, or application-related issues.
- Support technical sales activities by helping customers understand product capabilities, specifications, and available solutions.
- Coordinate technical information between customers and internal departments to ensure requirements are clearly communicated.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives involving products, processes, technical documentation, and workflow efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to improve product configuration, technical accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain organized project records and ensure technical documentation remains current and accurate.
- Perform additional technical sales, design, and engineering support duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in technical sales, engineering support, manufacturing design, or a related technical field.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Strong ability to understand and communicate technical information.
- Experience working with product specifications, technical documentation, drawings, or design requirements preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and customer requirements simultaneously.
- Strong customer-service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with customers and internal departments.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Engineering, Sales, Operations, Product Management, and other technical teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general business software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting engineered or custom-manufactured products.
- Familiarity with technical drawings, specifications, and product configuration.
- Experience maintaining part files, technical databases, or product documentation.
- Previous customer-facing technical sales or engineering support experience.
- Experience with continuous improvement, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
