About the Opportunity
OUI Installation Group is seeking an experienced Construction Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to lead and enforce installation quality, safety standards, and crew performance across all active job sites. In this crucial field leadership role, you will hold direct, independent authority to uphold company SOPs, manage crew oversight, and drive uncompromising standards across our nationwide projects.
This role carries direct stop-work and rework authority across all job sites, independent of standard reporting chains, ensuring safety and quality remain uncompromised at all times.
The Pay Amount includes all expenses associated with the project including but not limited to travel, fuel, materials, and lodging as well as Mobilization (travel to the jobsite) and Demobilization (travel from the jobsite upon completion).
Scope of Work & Responsibilities
- Safety Enforcement & Audits: Conduct unscheduled site safety spot-checks, inspect PPE usage, and enforce strict worker accountability across all active project locations.
- Independent Site Authority: Exercise immediate stop-work and rework authority on any active site for safety hazards or quality non-compliance; field teams and Site Foremen comply directly with QA directives without delay.
- SOP Building & Compliance: Build, update, and audit company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) spanning installation techniques, site safety, documentation standards, and crew communication.
- Daily Log Auditing: Review and audit daily field logs for accuracy, professionalism, and completeness, strictly enforcing the daily 6:00 PM ET submission deadline.
- Crew Onboarding & Training: Coordinate initial screening, field hiring assessments, and structured training programs for all new installation crews.
- Assessments & Corrective Action: Perform weekly on-site safety and operational behavior assessments, implementing immediate corrective-action plans and follow-up reviews.
Contractor Qualifications & Requirements
- Professional Certifications: OSHA 500/510, ASQ CCQM, or NSF-ANSI 7 & 51+ certifications strongly preferred.
- Trade Background: Strong foundation and hands-on background in commercial construction trades.
- Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to manage, discipline, document, and enforce standards across field operations and multi-site project locations.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel to active project assignments nationwide.
- Reporting & Escalation: Ability to independently manage high-level compliance authority and directly escalate critical hazards to executive leadership regardless of standard reporting channels.
