Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, and test power distribution, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, and busway.
- Run and bend conduit (EMT, rigid, PVC) and pull and terminate large feeder and medium-voltage cable.
- Install and wire cable tray, devices, lighting, and controls.
- Troubleshoot and repair motors, VFDs, PLCs, and control circuits.
- Read and work from blueprints, one-line diagrams, and schematics.
- Journeymen will lead small crews and mentor wiremen and apprentices.
- Follow NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout, and site safety rules on every job.
- Document work and keep accurate records for inspections and QA/QC.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician: a current Texas (TDLR) Journeyman license is required, plus 4+ years of commercial or industrial experience.
- Wireman: 2+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience. A TDLR apprentice registration is required.
- Travel Electrician: 2+ years of experience, and a Journeyman license is preferred. Must be willing to travel and work 50–60+ hour weeks.
- Industrial Electrical Tech: maintenance troubleshooting experience with motors, VFDs, and PLCs. Must be willing to work rotating or on-call shifts.
- All roles:- Data center, mission-critical, power plant, or heavy industrial experience is a big plus.
- Able to read blueprints, schematics, and one-lines.
- OSHA 10 or 30 preferred.
- Your own hand tools.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
