We are currently seeking a2ndShift
COMMERCIAL ASSEMBLY OPERATOR
For a localPIQUA, OHmanufacturing company.
The commercial assembly operator will check and perform secondary operations and prepare orders for shipping according to customer specifications and Company standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
  • Complete commercial spring assembly by utilizing cutting torch and hammer and performing manual assembly of metal parts.
  • Finishproduct according to customerand qualityspecifications.
  • Determine correct pallet sizes according to product dimensions.
  • Load finished product onto pallets and / or carts.
  • Ensure proper quantities on pallets.
  • Band finished pallets using a bander.
  • Tag pallets for identification.
  • Stage product for efficient movement of material.
  • Troubleshoot equipment as needed.
  • Accurately track and report scrap.
  • Achieve established production rates per hour.
  • Complete all paperwork and tracking worksheets.
  • Maintain and ensure proper use of tooling.
  • Adhere to and maintain compliance with established systems, policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all safety and housekeeping expectations and 5s standards.
  • Keep supervisor(s)informed of progress, issues, quality concerns and rework needed.
  • Identify, recommend and implement opportunities for continuous performance and process improvements.
  • Contribute toa spirit of cooperation and teamwork within and between departments and shifts.
  • Demonstrate and uphold Company values.

  • COMMERCIAL.
  • Manufacturing and previous machine operator experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills required.
  • Ability to anticipate production needs in a fast paced environment.
  • A high level of attention to detail, organization and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability toread andinterpret data, formulas, weights,basic math in basic forms.
  • Strong customer service (internal and external) focus.
Physical Demands
The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift, carry and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance and occasionally push and/or pull up to 200 pounds. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, touch objects, tools or controls and talk or hear.The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts,vibration, heat and stress. The noise levelin the work environment isloud.
